Some people seem to think that sicknesses and illnesses are ultimately spread by truck drivers – like the new swine flu virus. I can’t see how we can put the blame on any one group of people, like truckers, when there are so many traveling in, out, and around the country right now for spring break! It just seems like a long shot that truck drivers were the only ones who could’ve contracted and spread this disease.
All you can do now is take a few precautions…and I don’t think it has to go as far as wearing a medical mask. Just do what you should do everyday anyway! Wash your hands when you can and carry some hand sanitizer with you at all times, just in case. And, the Indiana Health Commissioner – Dr. Judy Monroe – has said it’s time, for now, to stop shaking hands. Just take care of yourselves out there.
