The Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke, said that the American economy will probably start to grow towards the end of the year. Optimistic? Ummm…yes and no, I think. In his testimony to the congressional Joint Economic Committee, Bernanke said the nation’s economy will begin to pull out of its current recession and, in turn, will start to grow. Predictions are that economic activity will still be slow and unemployment may remain high, but everything will eventually be heading in the right direction. Let’s hope!
