My father drove trucks for the U.S. government when I was growing up. Right now, he works for someone else but I don't know who. He would go on installation trips for a month or two and then come home for a few days to a few weeks. As hard as it was on us not having him around all of the time, I now know how hard it was for him.

All my life I can remember my Dad working. You see he is the greatest trucker I know. He got his CB handle "Shot Gun" because one time he was hunting and shot his right hand middle finger off...then "Shot Gun" was born. Later what was left of the buckshot had to come out. My dad deserves to win because he works hard to provide for us.  He is the proud father of 2 girls and 7 sons. He has inspired me to try to become a truck driver as well.  My dad has struggled all his life and this would be awesome. Thank you and I hope you pick him.

My dad worked every day of my childhood life trying to provide for me, my mom and my siblings. He never asked for anything in return. He just wanted to do for us. This win would be something nice for someone who has never been given anything in his life.

My father deserves to win the prize because he has been through so much in the past year. He lost his job and was unemployed for many months. He also is the best father out there!
