We received the below trucking tip from John Smith.
Check it out:
When changing from the left lane to the right lane, check your
mirrors and also check the little window positioned on the bottom
of your passenger door. There may be a car in that blind spot
that you can't see with your mirrors.
The below trucking tip was provided by Ingrid
Brown:
Complacency is something that becomes a problem in trucking.
Whether for a driver, a dispatcher, a trainer or a mechanic.
Once we get into a routine we take comfort zones for granted.
Always take each task as your first attempt because if you are
complacent it might be your last or the last of someone
innocent.
You control the truck. Don't let the truck control you.

When being dispatched on a load, always check your route in a motor
carriers atlas. Just because you have directions given to you
in your qualcomm doesn't mean they are always right. Always

1. Drive the trailer
2. G O A L = Get Out and Look

will see lots of new stuff... lots of crazy stuff, too. Also
don't listen to drivers that have nothing but bad things to
say. You get what you put into this job and the drivers that
complain are usually the ones who do the minimum to get by.
Your truck will break down from time to time, but don't get
