1. How often are the drivers required to stay away from home?

If you are an “over-the-road driver”, you have to stay away from home for almost ten to fourteen days. But as the “rule of thumb” you can get one day off for every one week you are on the road. After 12 months of “over-the-road” experience you can seek local or regional position.

2. What is the starting salary for a trainee from a Truck Driving School in the Truck Driving Industry?

In the first year, the truck driver can make up to $35,000 to $40,000 with the “Driver Solutions Network trucking company” after he finishes the training from any of the Truck Driving Schools. And in the second year you can make up to $50,000.

3. Do the drivers receive any benefits?

With the “Driver Solutions network”, all the companies offer benefits that include health insurance, paid vacation and 401k.

4. How will I receive my paychecks?

Typically there are 3 different ways to receive your paycheck. It may be paid through direct deposit with your personal bank, it could be paid out with a company paycheck or it could be distributed through ComData. ComData can be used like a debit card.
